Ram Mandir, Ayodhya

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra is a trust set up for the construction and management of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya by the government of India in February 2020. The trust is composed of 15 trustees. It was created as per the verdict of the Supreme Court. The court directed the central government to set up a trust to oversee and manage the construction of the temple within three months of the judgement. The trust was awarded the disputed 2.77 acre land as well as the 67.703 acre land acquired under the Acquisition of Certain Area at Ayodhya Act, 1993 following the Supreme Court verdict in this regard. The central government nominated the 12 of 15 members of the trust. Kesava Parasaran, the former Attorney General who represented Shri Ram Lalla Virajmaan in the Ayodhya case, was made the acting chairman. On 19 February 2020, the trust nominated the rest of its members and elected Mahant Nrityagopal Das as the chairman.

Khatushyamji, also known as Shyam Baba, is a revered Hindu deity whose temple is located in the village of Khatushyam in the Sikar district of Rajasthan, India. The history of Khatushyamji is closely associated with the legend of his divine incarnation.

Legend of Khatushyamji

Khatushyamji is believed to be the reincarnation of Lord Krishna. According to legend, during the Dwapara Yuga, Lord Krishna took this form to fulfill a promise to Barbareek, a great warrior and grandson of Bhima from the Mahabharata. Barbareek possessed three divine arrows that could win any battle, but he had to offer his head to Lord Krishna.

The Promise

As a devotee of Lord Krishna, Barbareek pledged to support whichever side Krishna chose in the Kurukshetra War. To prevent him from causing mass destruction with his powerful arrows, Lord Krishna asked for his head as an offering. Barbareek agreed, on the condition that he could witness the entire war through his severed head.
